The Role:

  • Works with key customer engineers to integrate Edwards’ products into customer systems as default standard. 

  • Works with customer engineers to determine the product requirements communicate the requirements to Edwards management and product development teams. 

  • Influence Edwards product development by identifying key customer and product issues and potential solutions. 

  • Develops and distributes an expressed understanding of customer’s stated and apparent roadmap for systems development for all customers using vacuum and abatement. 

  • Works closely with account team to ensure full awareness of commercial and technical requirements of all projects. 

  • Maintains an awareness of Edwards’ technical and commercial competitive position with respect to customer’s product and process roadmaps. 

  • Works with Edwards Product Managers and Product Specialists to ensure relevant product issues are addressed and exploit Edwards technical advantages. 

  • Contributes to the development of Edwards’ overall business and product strategies including an awareness of potential competitor technical capabilities. 

What we expect of you?

Education Level: 

  • Degree in an engineering or relevant discipline or equivalent working experience  

Relevant Previous experience (minimum years of experience to competently carry out the role, not total year of experience):

  • Applications experience a plus especially in Semiconductor, Solar and LED or technical manufacturing equipment and processes. 
  • Vacuum and abatement experience a plus. 

  • Demonstrated project management success. 

  • Work and develop good cross functional team relationships. 

Knowledge areas/Skills (minimum level of knowledge to fullfil the role’s responsibilities):

  • Familiarity with Semiconductor, Solar and LED manufacturing equipment and processes. 

  • Experienced and comfortable at the customer interface. 

  • Ability to develop working relationships with customer engineers and managers. 

  • Ability to influence other Edwards departments and peers.  

  • Sensitive to the commercial and marketing issues underlying the technical work being undertaken.  

  • Knowledgeable with project management to influence and manage resources.  

  • Knowledge of Edwards products and engineering capabilities a plus.  

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers. 

  • Analytical thinking and problem solving. 

  • Planning and aligning. 

  • Effective Collaboration with others.
