Atlas Copco sells its real estate in Nacka

December 5, 1997

Stockholm, December 5, 1997-- Atlas Copco has made an agreement with the real estate company LjungbergGruppen, Sweden, which means that LjungbergGruppen will purchase Atlas Copco’s real estate in Nacka, where i.e. Atlas Copco Group Center is situated. The selling price is SEK 425 million. The sale will not have any impact on the Group’s result. In connection with the sale Atlas Copco has signed a 10-year rental contract with LjungbergGruppen.

The sale of the real estate in Nacka is part of Atlas Copco’s strategy to release capital tied up in none core assets. Atlas Copco has been active in Nacka since the beginning of the 20th century. As the industrial production has moved to other locations during the last years, Atlas Copco has let out the buildings to shopping, service and entrepreneurs.  Atlas Copco plans to keep Group Center and other businesses in the area and has therefore signed a ten-year rental contract with LjungbergGruppen. For further information please contact:  Hans Lindblad, Vice President Real Estate and Taxes, Atlas Copco, 46-8-743 8409  Annika Berglund, Vice President, Corporate Communications, Atlas Copco +46-8-743 8070
