Business Unit Manager Glass - global function (f/m/d)
Develop the global Glass organization following the global industry trends. Primarily via standalone offering as a Business Unit but with time also in cooperation with other ITBA Divisions in segments where end customers are shared.
Ensure talent pipeline and local leadership is developed that will accelerate our speed in capturing customer needs, fast reaction time to decision and strengthen customer satisfaction.
Exciting - Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a clear vision and global growth strategy for Glass inside the Business Line Connected Continuous Processes (CCP) via both organic growth path and a pro-active acquisition strategy in existing and new market segments.
- Grow the Glass Business Unit inside CCP business in line with financial targets and secure high consolidated profitability in the long- and short-term perspective.
- In cooperation with Product Management Team and R&D, develop a best-in-class product portfolio for targeted customer segments in the surface inspection industry.
- Grow talents and develop leaders in the global SPI team via competence development and people management initiatives.
- Work in close cooperation with CCP/MVS marketing to enhance and utilize the latest digitalization concepts and continuously improve our customer interaction.
- Contribute to build up a customer-oriented service offer concept for both spare parts and services in cooperation with the existing Service organization.
- Work on continuous improvements, be ambassador for leading change and encourage agility to make things happen in a global organization.
Convincing - Your Profile:
- At least 5 - 7 years of technical B2B sales experience of products and systems, any insights in preferably Machine Vision Systems or Industrial Automation within relevant industries is advantageous
- Engineering knowledge is helpful, such as within automation or electrical engineering
- Effective communication skills in English and in German to establish customer rapport and acceptance, further language skills are a plus
- Independent and goal-oriented way of working, but still a team player
- Commitment to travel both nationally and internationally, approx. 60-80 overnight hotel stays/year
- Competence in basic IT-tools necessary, i.e. MS Office. Knowledge of SalesForce is an advantage
