The Giulio Mazzalupi Operational Excellence Award, established in 2018, aims to reward a person or a team with significant contributions to improving and executing processes aimed at delivering products or services to customers in the most satisfying, sustainable, cost-effective, and timely manner. This year the award goes to Chad Chen, Hongwei Wang and Frank Xu in the Vacuum Technique Business Area.

The team behind the Mechanical vapor recompression system receives the Giulio Mazzalupi Operational Excellence Award. Using the technology on our internal processes has had both environmental and operational benefits, the water can be reused and only a small part of concentrated contaminated water needs to be processed leading to an impressive up to 90 percent reduction in wastewater.

In 2022, the Giulio Mazzalupi award went to a team in the Motor Vehicle Industry division for the achievement of building an efficient and agile, end-to-end process that enables the delivery of “Saltus attachments” on demand. The team Anna-Lena Nordqvist, Fredrik Dahlström, Dennis Öhlund, Mattias Schölin, Kerstin Matiasson and Lennart Remnebäck worked on standardizing and digitalizing the manufacturing process, which reduced lead times and increased the design efficiency.
