Circular product design
Circular economy aims to reduce raw material use and minimize waste. Many of our products are designed to be returned, refurbished, and resold while maintaining high standards of performance and energy efficiency. Modular designs support easy disassembly and part replacement, extending product life and reducing waste.
We have launched a Group-common methodology for assessing the circularity of all new or redesigned products. The methodology provides a common framework for our future circularity work, as it allows for the assessment of circularity metrics and application of circularity principles across the whole Group.
Extending the product lifespan
Our service offerings ensure that customers get maximum value from their investments. We repair products and perform preventive maintenance, extending products' life and minimizing waste. We also provide support for optimal product use to enhance energy efficiency.
Minimizing waste
Reducing waste lowers our environmental impact and boosts circularity. Most of our waste is scrap metal, which is largely reused or recycled. Our goal is to reuse, recycle, or recover 100% of our waste by 2030. Some units also collect and refurbish contaminated products from customers.
Our circularity commitments
We have set a target to reduce, recycle or recover 100% of the waste from internal operations by 2030. In addition, we have also committed to systematically apply circularity principles in product development for all new and redesigned products by 2027. To support our target and to highlight the importance of circular economy, we offer a training that is available to all employees, Group management and the Board of Directors.
