South-African specialty dewatering solutions company to become part of Atlas Copco Group

IPR, founded in 2014, is headquartered in Johannesburg and has 18 employees. The company provides fully outsourced dewatering solutions through rental of pump and ancillary equipment. Main customers are found in mining, quarrying, construction and wastewater.
“The acquisition of IPR will give us a solid footprint for specialty dewatering in Sub-Saharan Africa, a critical mining market. IPR will provide us with a competence hub and operational capability in the region”, said Andrew Walker, Business Area President Power Technique.
In 2023 IPR had revenues of 5 MEUR (57 MSEK*). The purchase price is not disclosed, and the acquisition is expected to close during the third quarter of 2024.
The business will become part of the Specialty Rental division within the Power Technique Business Area.
