Atlas Copco wins award for best sustainability report

Stockholm, Sweden, December 4, 2013: Atlas Copco, a leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, won an award today for the best sustainability report 2012. 
FAR, Sweden’s professional institute for authorized public accountants, said Atlas Copco stood out due to its successful integration of relevant and material sustainability issues including the environment, health and safety into the company’s Annual Report 2012. FAR gave the award to Atlas Copco during a ceremony today in Stockholm.

We strongly feel that by integrating sustainability issues into our Annual Report it better describes our company,” said Mattias Olsson, Vice President Investor Relations. “We are proud and happy that we are recognized for this.”

Last week Atlas Copco won an award by analysis firm Regi for being the most well-liked large cap company on the Nordic stock exchanges among financial analysts. Factors included company management’s credibility and transparency.

In January Atlas Copco was acknowledged as one of the world’s most sustainable companies in the Global 100 list presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Also this year Atlas Copco was ranked one of the most ethical companies by Ethisphere Institute, and was once again included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, which assesses companies on their sustainability work.
