Stockholm, Sweden, February 10, 2011: Atlas Copco has received an order from Fresnillo PLC, Mexico valued at approximately MUSD 45 (MSEK 300). The order is one of the largest ever for Atlas Copco’s Construction and Mining business area.

The order is for underground drill rigs for silver mining and for rock reinforcement as well as products for loading and haulage. The products will be used for new development, production and expansion of the Fresnillo Silver Mine in Mexico. The Fresnillo Silver Mine is the biggest silver mine in the world.
