Supply Chain and Planning Engineer - OHP

Key Responsibility
Plan and procure local and imported production components at right time – avoid stock out or excess inventory situations.
Release the purchase orders in time for material requirement to the vendors as per the production plan on daily basis taking into account monthly level plans.
Conduct system stock and physical stock verification on a regular basis through Cycle counts to ensure correct stocks in system.
Follow up with vendors for material shortages as per pending orders statement and visit them whenever required.
Track the rejections & take timely actions to avoid stock discrepancies.
Should actively participate in New Product Development projects.
Co-ordinate with sourcing, quality control, stores & other functions in manufacturing for timely actions related to production materials.
Active participation in DN process and ensure effective DN implementation ensuring smooth Phase in and Phase out
To succeed, you will need
Experience & Educational requirements -
Degree in Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in purchase / supply chain
Post graduation in Management / Technology is plus
Knowledge of production planning and control
Good knowledge of computer applications, like MS Excel, MS Word, BPCS etc.
