At Atlas Copco Vacuum, we’re seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer to accelerate our growth across Northern UK, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In this role, you’ll position Atlas Copco as the go‑to partner for vacuum solutions—identifying new opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and delivering tailored solutions across key industrial sectors. With a blend of technical expertise and a consultative, value‑focused approach, you’ll help customers boost productivity, efficiency, and sustainability.   Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager for North Europe, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, driving measurable improvements in customer processes - not just selling products.   Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage new customers within the region
  • Provide relevant industry and application insights
  • Apply technical knowledge to optimise customer processes
  • Achieve new‑business targets through value‑based selling
  • Maintain accurate reporting and support key KPIs
  • Execute a focused sales plan for vacuum solutions
  • Develop and qualify opportunities across sectors such as electronics, automotive, packaging, pharma, and manufacturing
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to close
  • Conduct customer visits, assessments, and technical discussions to propose tailored solutions

To succeed, you will need

    • Strong influencing, presentation, and negotiation skills at senior levels.
    • Experience in direct sales with solid commercial and contractual awareness.
    • Knowledge of vacuum technologies and applications is a plus.
    • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and drive customer-focused strategies.
    • Strategic thinker with a talent for identifying and securing business opportunities.
    • Skilled in problem-solving, relationship building, and effective communication.
    • Confident in promoting Atlas Copco’s solutions and value proposition.
    • Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field preferred.
    • Willingness to travel extensively within the territory and occasionally beyond.

Job location

This role is fully remote, enabling you to work from anywhere within the North of UK - ideally around the M62 Corridor, but you must be prepared to travel throughout the North. We value results over location and provide the tools and support you need to succeed from any location.
