
Your role
As a Quality Business Process Owner & Continuous Improvement Manager (Inspection & Deviation), your mission is to support, develop and continually improve the quality systems and processes used across the Service Technology Centres within the Vacuum Semi Service Division, with a focus on inspection and deviation processes. You will report to the Senior Manager – Quality & Product Engineering.
You will
- Support Service Technology Centres across the Vacuum Semi Service Division with the communication and implementation of the OPEX Quality Strategy for inspection and deviation.
- Own and govern the inspection and deviation processes, ensuring they are clearly defined, documented, followed and continuously improved.
- Identify and prioritise issues impacting customer satisfaction, acting as a subject matter expert to resolve them effectively.
- Drive standardisation and adherence to global quality processes across STC locations.
- Collaborate with product companies, application teams, quality teams and other stakeholders to optimise inspection plans, tolerances and process performance.
- Use data, quality tools and continuous improvement techniques to improve inspection accuracy, process capability and material usage costs.
- Lead change and improvement projects focused on inspection and deviation processes, including process risk analysis, PFMEA, control plans and capability measures.
- Build strong process networks with local champions, supporting communication, training, KPI reporting and process maturity assessment.
- Support the implementation and management of best practice, safety and operating standards, ensuring SHE requirements are achieved.

You have have 5 - 7 years of experience, working in quality engineering, quality management, continuous improvement or business process ownership within a technical, manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong quality engineering experience, including quality systems, inspection processes, deviation management and technical problem solving.
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects and applying structured improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, 8D, PFMEA and process control methods.
- Ability to use data and facts to identify issues, define problems, establish root causes and drive sustainable improvements.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and at multiple levels of the organisation.
- Experience operating in a global or multi-site environment, ideally within a technical equipment, manufacturing or service organisation.
- A relevant engineering, quality or science qualification, with a dedicated quality qualification such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
- Project management experience and the ability to plan and deliver work independently in line with business objectives.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with SAP experience desirable.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our (insert organization here) in Burgess Hill, United Kingdom (GB).
