We are looking for a European Fleet Manager in our European Headquarters in Boom, Belgium, as we see the need to further develop our fast-growing business and operations.

What can you expect?

Atlas Copco Specialty Rental European Headquarters is looking for a European Fleet Manager Specialty rental to increase our focus on optimal management of our industrial rental assets. This role contributes directly to our customer’s experience by ensuring our fleet management processes are customer oriented, standardized, efficient, fast and accurate. You will lead a small team and your mission is through anticipating and ensuring the right rental fleet, at the right time at the right location in a dynamic changing environment, you and your team are contributing to drive customer experience. The successful candidate will serve as key member of the Specialty Rental Operations team, working closely together with all our regional teams. 

The mission

Your mission is to continuously improve our fleet management in line with our growth ambitions. In doing so, you contribute to secure the present and future success of our customers. You will be the driving force in our growing European business with respect to fleet management and fleet processes. You will create value through excellent processes that are embraced by all our colleagues. You will manage and set up the yearly budget for fleet investments and manage the linked KPI’s.

To be successful in your mission it is fundamental for you to:

  • Take the lead in and manage the European Investment & divestment plan:
    • Drive sustainable growth by optimizing our European fleet’s utilization ratio.
    • Optimize the investment and divestment plan in line with the business.
    • Support regions in and assure investment plans for new product introductions.
  • Optimize our fleet management:
    • Manage and lead monthly European fleet management meetings to optimize our distribution of assets
    • Develop and improve the fleet management strategy to minimize total cost of ownership.
    • Innovate our processes to improve fleet management throughout Europe.
    • Participate in and roll-out an Sales and Operations Planning process to enable us to manage our investment approach is in line with the business.
    • Standardize our fleet where possible.
    • Enable transparency of our fleet management performance.
  • Support Regions:
    • Drive the European customer experience by supporting cross-border rental projects.
    • Unleash our full fleet potential by engaging all regions through training and sharing of best practices.

In this position you will report to the European Operations Manager Specialty Rental

What we expect of you? 

We are looking for a candidate with a University degree in (commercial) engineering (or similar through experience) who can demonstrate sound knowledge of (rental) fleet management of industrial equipment.
Experience in Operations, service, manufacturing, or logistics, or knowledge of (part of our) fleet is a plus. You have awareness of local cultures and international European business environments.  The candidate shall have good command of English. Any other European language is a plus.  You have a good knowledge of the Way.
