The Role

• · To provide day to day manufacturing support to fastener production operations.
• · Review/analyze production processes and make recommendations for improvement actions.
• · To support and oversee the OEE improvement activities.
• · Undertake process improvement activities, monitor improvements and report on their success.
• · Document manufacturing operation instructions and provide relevant training as required.
• · Assist with new manufacturing process design.
• · Assist with the investigation and resolution of product and process concerns.
• · Support update of drawings through change request process.
• · Ensure that all new manufacturing processes/process improvements are verified in accordance with IATF16949 requirements.
• · Utilize data analysis/monitoring to support problem solving activities.
• · Assist in the APQP process for new product development.
• · To support supplier development with aim of improving tooling quality and optimization.
• · Provide breakdown support for production and maintenance.
• · To promote safe working practices.
• --Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Company.

What we expect of you? 

Education / Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Good technical education and a good practical skill base.
• Experience of working with CAD is desirable.
• Must hold or be willing to work towards a degree in a relevant engineering qualification.
