Your role

We are seeking a talented and innovative Business Process Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our purchasing applications, developing digital solutions to enhance the efficiency of our purchasing processes, and supporting the implementation of a comprehensive product lifecycle management system across our entities. You will play a vital role in deploying master data management and spearheading our global migration to SAP. In this role, you will define future processes within SAP and align globally with all Distribution Centers about needed improvements. 
 
Your first tasks and responsibilities will encompass a range of exciting challenges. You'll develop and execute our digital purchasing reporting strategy that aligns with our divisional targets, driving the digital transformation of our supply chain processes. Frequent coordination with our Data Engineers and our business users will ensure that all developments and tools are in line with our business goals. A strong focus on identifying, defining, and implementing AI-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and unlock procurement savings will also be part of your daily responsibilities.
In addition, processes with our purchasing environment will be continuously optimized through global alignment with our other DC’s. You will take the lead in facilitating this and defining detailed functional specifications. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a robust product lifecycle management system that simplifies processes and enhances efficiency across departments. 


As an advocate for digital advancements, you'll actively participate in IT projects focused on purchasing applications. You'll work within project budgets and timelines, evaluating and implementing modifications that optimize performance and ensure seamless user experiences for our buyers.
Other responsibilities that may become part of this role in the future include:

  • As we transition to SAP, you'll guide and support our purchasing team, ensuring a seamless and successful implementation. Automation will be a cornerstone of your work. You'll lead projects aimed at streamlining our Purchase to Pay procedures, eliminating unnecessary complexities, and maximizing productivity. By closely engaging with the purchasing team, you'll gain firsthand insights into their needs and requirements, playing a pivotal role in digital improvements that empower them.
  • System security will be in your capable hands. You'll manage and maintain a robust security framework, while also training internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and awareness. By analysing data flows and procedures, you'll contribute to the governance of master data, ensuring its integrity and availability for our entire organization.

  • You have a master’s degree or experience in IT projects
  • You are fluent in English, good understanding of other European languages is a plus
  • You are passionate about technology, data management and IT solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365 (including PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint), knowledge of AS400, SAP, SQL & Databricks is a plus

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at Airpower in Wilrijk, Belgium (BE).
