
Your role
*The role requires on-site support at various TSMC locations.
• Proficient in Mandarin Chinese(native level) and English.
• Provide professional technical support in resolving product non conformities or application problems with our customers.
• Diagnose and resolve problems with regional team and Product company. Escalating problems where necessary to more experienced staff.
• Provide problem definition by collecting data through technicians on site potentially supported by direct onsite reviews.
• Review detailed acceptance test plans with customers (supported by senior or lead support engineers), and participate in negotiating detailed technical changes.
• Document through EMS reporting database all work to standards, producing detailed problem and status reports.
• Ensure lessons learnt in the field are effectively reported back to the global customer support organization.
• Provide training support for customers and field technicians.
• Plan and control personal work to ensure assignments and solutions are delivered on time.
To succeed, you will need
• At least 5 years relevant experience in an engineering field, ideally within a related industry.
• Confident grasp of increasingly complex technical matters indicated by speed accuracy and quality work.
• Approached by others for advice and assistance.
• Possesses PC skills to manage information and to prepare reports and presentations without secretarial support.
• Knowledge of Edwards’s products, EGM, vacuum FPD and semiconductor technology to a level that enables technical discussions to be held with engineers and engineering group leaders both internally and with customers.
• Knowledge of Edwards organizations (globally) to enable appropriate assistance to be called upon in the event that issues cannot be resolved locally.
• Knowledge of the organizations and operating practices of both Edwards and its customers that enables the support of Edwards’ equipment to be managed in a manner that conforms to the policies of both companies.
• Proven ability to correctly diagnose and successfully resolve increasingly complex problems, seeking advice only when clearly required.
