From the very beginning, we worked on building a qualified and competent team, setting up proper reporting, and ensuring our operations met the Group’s standards.
What are some of the key milestones you’ve been a part of during your career?
Over the years, I was fortunate to contribute to several milestones. In 2006, we established the Atlas Copco CMT Regional Office in Cairo, serving 15 countries across the Middle East and North Africa. That same year, I was part of the steering committee for Atlas Copco Pakistan. Later, in 2009, I managed the project to establish Atlas Copco CMT in the UAE, integrating it with the existing Atlas Copco Services Middle East Compressor Technique Company, which eventually became recently Epiroc.
How did your role evolve over time, especially with regional responsibilities?
In 2011, I joined Atlas Copco Services Middle East, and in 2013 I supported the process of setting up Atlas Copco Saudi as a standalone Customer Center.
Were there any unique experiences or challenges that particularly stood out?
Along this journey, I had the chance to participate in many internal audits across the region, including Algeria, Turkey, India, and the UAE. Each step gave me invaluable experiences and the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally.
What kept you motivated and committed for such a long time with one company?
When I look back at these 25 years, I realize that the key factor that made me dedicate the lion’s share of my career to Atlas Copco Group is the culture of trust, growth, and teamwork. The company always provided opportunities to develop, to innovate, and to make a real impact.
Who or what has been your biggest support system throughout your journey?
Of course, my biggest source of strength has always been my family, my supportive wife and my wonderful children—who have stood by me throughout this journey.
