As a Software Engineer with Front-End focus, you will belong to our cross-functional team in Auburn Hills, MI which is part of the larger R&D organization in Stockholm, Sweden. You will work in an agile environment developing new features in our web-based UI for our embedded products and maintaining a high quality of the embedded software utilizing the time zone difference between USA and Sweden. You will report to the local Software Engineering Manager. You will be working with TypeScript and React as well as maintaining our legacy code base in GWT. In your role we encourage you to explore new innovating and creative ideas. You will be contributing in transforming our Front-End application in our embedded products, ensuring that Atlas Copco can continue to be market leader. As part of the agile cross-functional team you are expected to be part of the whole process from idea to final testing and delivery.

To succeed, you will need:

  • You hold a technical university degree in Software Engineering.

  • You have strong skills and interest in software design and architecture, and have worked with module-based TypeScript, React, CSS and HTML.

  • We prefer that you have experience from working with GWT, Java and using NPM.

  • Experience from working with full stack applications, and knowledge in the C++ language is meritorious.

  • Knowledge and experience of working with Front-End applications in embedded systems will be considered as a plus.

  • Limited domestic and international travel might be required

Position is hybrid with more in-person expectations during the first 6-12 months.
