Your Role

With the Advanced Services offers, Atlas Copco Vacuum Technique Service provides deep insights to customers about their vacuum pumps and installation conditions, our objective is to enable solutions that will help the customer to adopt better ways of utilizing their machines and at the same time to reduce the total cost of ownership with them. Amongst the Advanced Services we have GENIUS Instant Insights - remote monitoring, Upgrades, Health Check Pro and Consultancy services.

GENIUS is an IoT (Internet of Things) based solution, enabling our customers to operate their pumps with higher up-time and more sustainably whilst having full transparency on their state. For this customers can view the health and operational KPIs of their connected pump in the GENIUS portal. The Remote Diagnostic team uses the telemetry and event data sent by the connected pumps and provides actionable insights for the customers on how to resolve identified issues, prevent failures and avoid inefficiencies.

Your mission is to enable our customers to operate their vacuum pumps with a higher uptime, more sustainably and at lower total cost of ownership. For this, you will receive, interpret and validate information coming from IoT connected pumps as well as from field assessments and professionally report the results of the investigations to the service organizations on a global based platform. This mission requires you to have very good technical knowledge about the different vacuum pumps technologies as well as strong communication skills. You will also closely interact with field service engineers and local operations teams and NPI teams.

As part of the GENIUS team, you will support customers and customer centers globally. This is an excellent opportunity to expose yourself to the different levels of the VTS organizations teams. In addition, you will be broadening your knowledge of vacuum pump technologies, and you will be a core contributor to building our innovative GENIUS product offering.

To succeed, you will need  

• Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical/Electrical with Minimum 2 years of Field Service Experience in trouble shooting / Field Installation/Commissioning/Testing of Vacuum Pumps.
• Understanding of vacuum technology and its service offerings
• Specific Knowledge of the Atlas Copco/Edwards & Leybold Vacuum Technique Equipment range will add plus point
• Experience with vibration measurements and interpretation of vibration data from rotary equipment (preferably vacuum pumps) would be beneficial but can also be learned in the new role.
• Data-driven mindset and able to correlate telemetry data, field assessments, service history etc. to derive the right conclusion.
• Ability to communicate difficult technical topics clearly and convincingly
• Able and willing to work in a high-paced, agile environment where adoption to new requirements and processes will be needed on a regular basis.
• Able to work with flexible working hours (shift system)
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Proactive and innovative attitude
