[MISSION]
The Aftermarket Technical Support Engineer provides back-office technical support for marine compressor packages, focusing on commissioning support, warranty claim resolution, spare-parts technical support, and aftermarket product development.
The role drives technical issues to documented closure and develops practical solutions that improve equipment reliability, customer uptime, and service efficiency.
[KEY RESPONSIBILITY]
- Provide technical support for commissioning, including troubleshooting, technical clarification, start-up issue resolution, and escalation.
- Lead the technical resolution of warranty claims through failure analysis, root cause investigation, corrective action, and documented closure.
- Coordinate with Product Companies, Engineering, Quality, and field teams to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor recurring failures and initiate product, process, or maintenance improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Provide spare-parts technical support, including parts identification, validation, interchangeability, and applicability.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance lists and recommended spare-parts lists.
- Develop service kits and standardized aftermarket solutions.
- Support aftermarket product development, including maintenance solutions, upgrades, revamping, and spare-parts packages.
- Provide technical input for quotations involving complex spare parts, service kits, warranty materials, and aftermarket products.
- Support critical technical escalations when required to protect commissioning schedules or customer operations.
[REQUIREMENTS]
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of rotating machinery and marine compressor package systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, commissioning, and warranty processes.
- Understanding of spare-parts identification, preventive maintenance requirements, and service practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, technical documentation tools, and engineering databases is an advantage.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical support, field service, commissioning, or related engineering roles.
- Experience troubleshooting rotating machinery and resolving complex technical issues.
- Experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience supporting customers, field teams, and international stakeholders.
- Experience with spare-parts support, PM lists, service kits, or aftermarket product development is preferred.
- Experience in marine, compressor, oil and gas, process, or industrial equipment businesses is an advantage.
- Strong ownership and accountability with the ability to drive technical issues through to closure.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with customers, service teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
