Your Role
- Lead and manage SIA project sourcing activities in PC Qingdao and report on progress.
- Work closely with Category Sourcing Engineers and Global Category Managers to define category and supply strategy in order to meet cost, delivery and qualilty targets (This may include negotiation, value engineering, cost model analysis, supplier evaluation, make vs. buy, outsourcing, strategic sourcing and demand management.)
- Drive China for China strategy to ensure smart and agile supplychain is developed in project phase.
- Provide project management and supply engineering support for new product development activities and liaise with project team in UK/KR/CN.
- Leverage supplier's know-how and technology in design optimization, recommand best option: Make vs Buy Drawing vs Buy Specification.
- Ensure that all materials and services required by project team are procured within agreed parameters, quality, inventory levels and delivery performance for all production suppliers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure that all production suppliers are capable of meeting site requirements with respect to material supply of good components to arrive on time and in a responsive, consistent and cost effective manner. Identify risks to supply and develop and implement plans and implement policies to mitigate these risks.
- Responsibility for managing commercial terms of supply and implementing supply agreements of unquiqe suppliers and work together with commodity management function for shared suppliers.
To succeed, you will need
Bachelor's degree in engineering
More than 3 years experience of commodity sourcing or project sourcing in manufacturing environment
Cost analysis skills, negotiation skills, strategic thinking
Category knowledges of Casting, Machining, Sheet metal fabrication, Electricals and etc.
Good Communication Skills
Team player
Fluent in both spoken and written English
