Finance Intern
CPC Pumps is looking for a talented professional to join our team to fill a new vacancy in the role of Finance Intern (May to August; Approximately 4 Months).
Purpose
The Finance Intern provides support to the accounting department with accounting, accounts payable, collection, invoicing, and general accounting tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- General Accounting tasks, accounts payable, collection, and invoicing
- General Ledger Entry postings
- Account Reconciliations
- Variance Analysis (Profitability, GL accounts)
- Support Month-End Close and Financial Reporting
- Assistance with SAP Implementation project and company audits
- Ensuring expenses have receipts attached with a documented business reason
- Ability to focus on accurate data entry in a dynamic environment
- Preparing Cheques, ACH and Wire Payments
- Filing and scanning of invoices and accounting documents

Qualification Requirements
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail, enjoy data entry and commitment to accuracy
- Have strong organizational and time-management skills
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Diploma in accounting and/or Business is preferred
- Must be part of a qualifying co-operative education program
- Strong Microsoft office (word and excel) skills
- ERP experience (e.g., ACCPAC and SAP knowledge) is an asset
- Previous office administrative and finance/accounting working experience is an asset

The expected rate for this position is $21.47 per hour. The final compensation may vary due to factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
