
Your role
As a Distributor Manager, you will:
- Build, maintain, and strengthen strong relationships with dealers, acting as the primary point of contact for all inquiries, support, and coordination.
- Set clear sales, volume, and growth targets per dealer and territory, and actively support dealers to achieve and exceed these objectives.
- Monitor dealer performance through regular reviews, identifying gaps and implementing corrective action plans where required.
- Plan and deliver product, sales, and market training sessions to ensure dealers are fully equipped with current product knowledge and selling skills.
- Ensure dealers have access to up‑to‑date marketing materials, pricing information, and promotional tools to support effective sales execution.
- Drive market development by monitoring territory coverage, identifying white spaces, expanding dealer coverage, and onboarding new qualified dealers.
- Support route‑to‑market execution to improve availability, visibility, and brand presence across the assigned territory.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, contractual terms, and brand standards across all dealers.
- Coordinate with internal teams (sales, marketing, supply chain, finance) to resolve dealer issues and improve overall business performance.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on sales results, market trends, competitive activity, and dealer performance to management.
To succeed, you will need
- Strong understanding of route‑to‑market models, territory management, and channel development.
- Demonstrated ability to set targets, analyze performance, and execute corrective action plans.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Industry‑specific experience (e.g. Industrial air compression solutions, compressed air system applications, service-led aftermarket sales management, energy efficiency and sustainability solutions, channel management in industrial B2B markets and competitor landscape knowledge etc.)
- Experience onboarding and developing new distributors or dealers in emerging markets.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and demand planning.
- Prior experience delivering structured dealer training and coaching programs.
- Knowledge of brand management, pricing strategies, and trade marketing execution.
- Experience working in cross‑functional, matrix organizations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced CRM platforms.
