Episode 8 - Growth mindset

What does it mean to have a growth mindset? Usually when we talk about growth we speak in financial terms, but in this podcast it is about growth on a personal level. In the eight episode of Atlas Copco Group’s People Podcast, Cecilia Sandberg, SVP Chief Human Resources Officer and Dorna Eriksson Shafiei, VP Talent Management, dive into the concept of growth mindset. Tune in and learn more!

A summary of what’s included

In this episode, Cecilia and Dorna refer to Professor Carol Dweck’s research about the impact of our mindset on our success and give the listeners concrete examples of how to start our journey in reaching our full potential.

Applying a growth mindset means that we constantly evolve into a better version of ourselves. One take away is that we need to be agile and continuously learn new things.

"According to Professor Dweck, when presented with a challenge, an individual with a growth mindset doesn’t see it as a risk to fail, but rather, as an opportunity to grow," says Dorna Eriksson Shafiei.

"It’s a deliberate choice we make, every day, with which mindset we are walking into a situation. What am I ready to learn today? And what skills will I be practicing while doing so?" says Cecilia Sandberg.
