Atlas Copco Specialty Rental Division is currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer to help improve the reliability of our rental equipment in the Power business line throughout their rental lifetime.
The successful candidate will be the contact point to all our rental regions for in depth technical support. Based on feedback from the rental regions, failure analysis and other data, you define, work out and communicate solutions to repair and prevent failures. For this you work closely with the supplying product companies and the PTS organization through TCM’s, PQM’s and other meeting platforms. You consolidate your knowledge in trainings that will be used by our service technicians around the globe. Your technical knowledge will serve as input to the operations team making you a key member of the Specialty Rental Operations team, working closely together with all our regional teams and divisional colleagues.
In this position you will report to the Global Reliability Manager for the Specialty Rental Division.

Your Responsibilities Include
- Process 2nd line technical problems from around the world. Analyze these problems, define and communicate solutions.
- Perform root cause analyses on reoccurring technical failures.
- Assist in the creation of technical trainings to further improve the experience level of all (new) service technicians around the world.
- Execute sporadic equipment audits to evaluate the (new) equipment status.
- Follow up the major Service Bulletins so all are assets are up to date as required.
- Assist in different projects when needed as the technical product expert.
Experience Requirements
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 10 years technical experience in service or operations.
Knowledge And Educational Requirements
- We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical hands-on background in Power generators and energy storage systems.
- Preferably basic knowledge of other technical solutions Specialty Rental Division provides (compressors, steam, chillers, pumps) or a willingness to learn if required.
- Fluent in Microsoft office and quick to pick up other IT systems if required.
- Fluency in English is required.
