You will:
Provide leadership to manage and coordinate the development and delivery of agreed PFAS compliance strategies, ensuring the resources in the divisional teams, product companies and service businesses are aligned with the overall portfolio and to ensure we have the correct skills and tools required to deliver the relevant projects.
Work to ensure that the relevant projects deliver on the strategic roadmaps, on time, to budget and with quality.
Ensure that the full range of planned outcomes are achievable, e.g.: meeting the agreed requirements and benefit realisation.
Active engagement and management of all stakeholders (both upwards and downwards) will be key for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Driving delivery of key strategic enablers for PFAS compliance (e.g. Lobbying relevant bodies, development and validation of PFAS alternatives with technology, engineering and suppliers, PFAS product content reporting)
- Tracking progress of the programme and related projects, identifying roadblocks, and proposing solutions to resolve
- Regularly present & publish the progress & status at a programme/roadmap level to PFAS Steerco
- Development & maintenance of positive relationships with all relevant stakeholders (internal & external) to promote delivery of the business objectives including other business areas within AC Group
- Conducting regular 1:1’s and team meetings with peers (& other stakeholders)
- Facilitation of discussions & decisions with the relevant Product Companies (PC’s) and the divisional engineering and supply chain teams to deliver on the strategic plan
- Be commercially sensitive, ensuring the best overall value to the business is delivered
- Develop continuous learning culture on PFAS and relevant changing legislation globally
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills at a multiple organisational level with different cultures, including up to an executive level
- To be able to analyse complex programme requirements and identify key phases and workstreams as part of high-level programme definition
- To be well organised, displaying clear, rational, and analytical approach to problem solving and planning
- To remain calm under pressure and has the ability to find creative and pragmatic solutions to seemingly intractable problems.
- To be willing to look for / explore new solutions or methods
- To be flexibility to travel to multiple Product Company (PC) locations nationally and internationally
- To have experience in collaboration and co-operative techniques across a wide range of stakeholders
- To display clear leadership, willing to take control of a situation and bring people with them even though they may not functionally report to them
- To have experience in managing projects & programmes across multiple global entities
- To possess strong organisational, communication and facilitation skills
- To be self-motivated, with a proven track record of delivering business improvements/change within a global and complex organisation
- To be fluent in English to a business proficient level
- To have minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- To be educated to a degree level mechanical, electrical, manufacturing or materials / chemisty is preferred
- To have recognised Project or Programme management qualification
