A focus on safety and well-being
The safety and well-being of our employees is vital to us, which is why we set ambitious standards for workplace safety.
We continuously work to reinforce our culture of safety and well-being. Our use of the safety pyramid concept encourages employees to promptly report any incidents such as near-misses. This helps us take corrective action and maintain a preventative approach to safety.
We give all stakeholders the possibility to openly discuss our safety performance and ways of improving the working conditions. Another key focus is on improving our customers’ safety and health when they are using our products.
Committed to high labor standards
As a voluntary member of the UN Global Compact since 2008, we ensure that labor practices such as the right to collective bargaining are included in our Code of Conduct. We view trade unions and employee representatives as a necessary and valuable support system for our employees, and foster relationships based on mutual respect and constructive dialogue.
Sub-Saharan Africa HIV/Wellness program
The local Atlas Copco Group units provide employees with access to HIV testing, disease management and support services. Other diseases and the general well-being of employees are also addressed. A wide range of activities for employees, their families and the wider community are conducted locally, including support to business partners in the value chain.
We have added more services, including a physical and mental health program, safety and occupational health drive and 24-hour call center. The 24-hour call center, which offers counseling and guidance, is also extended to family members.
