Atlas Copco has acquired German industrial pump manufacturer

Nacka, Sweden, April 5, 2022: Atlas Copco has completed the acquisition of Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH that was announced February 21, 2022. Pumpenfabrik Wangen is a German manufacturer of progressive cavity pumps used for transferring fluids mainly in the biogas and wastewater sectors. The company also manufactures twin-screw pumps used in sectors like food and beverage and cosmetics.

Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH is based in Wangen, Germany, and has 265 employees. In 2020 they had revenues of approximately MEUR 46.4 (466 MSEK). The company has manufacturing facilities in Germany, and a global sales and service footprint.

The purchase price is not disclosed.

The acquired business will become part of the Power and Flow division within Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area.
