Vision Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Vision Systems Engineer with a commercial mindset. In this role, you will implement and support machine vision and traceability solutions for manufacturing customers, while also engaging directly with clients to promote our technology and services.

You will play a key role in the design, installation, and support of vision systems that ensure quality, accuracy, and traceability in production lines. Your ability to communicate technical solutions clearly and add value to the customer’s process will make you a trusted partner.

Key Responsibilities

Technical

• Install, configure, and maintain vision systems (smart cameras, vision sensors).
• Use software like Insight Explorer, VisionPro, or similar to develop and adapt applications.
• Support traceability solutions, including barcode reading, data matrix, and labeling systems.
• Integrate vision tools into production environments, including programming sensors and setting up communication protocols.
• Troubleshoot systems and provide remote and on-site technical support.
• Perform validation tests and ensure full system functionality at the customer site.

Customer-Facing

• Provide technical support in pre-sales meetings—help customers understand system capabilities and ROI.
• Deliver training sessions for end-users and internal teams.
• Support the sales team with solution design, customer demos, and pilot projects.
• Act as a technical advisor, identifying customer pain points and offering effective vision-based solutions.
• Build strong customer relationships by ensuring satisfaction and high system performance.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience working with vision systems or traceability in a production environment.
• Experience in automotive or general manufacturing industries is a strong plus.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of smart cameras, vision sensors, traceability systems (Cognex, Keyence, Datalogic, etc.).
• Proficient in vision software tools (e.g., Insight Explorer, VisionPro).
• Understanding of communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, RS232).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly.
