Your Role
Our Trade Finance - Credit Control Team ensures that all international sales are adequately covered against political and commercial risk according to the Group’s Credit Policy. Debt control and debt prevention are key words. To achieve this goal, different trade finance instruments are used, such as Letter of Credits (“L/Cs”), documentary collection, bank guarantees, and credit insurance. Moreover, the team reports and analyses the receivables to reduce the receivables in days.
As our business is continuously growing in a challenging international business climate and as we are on a constant search for best practices to keep our practices on a “state-of-the-art” level, we are looking for a Team Leader to adequately support and guide the team.
As Team Leader your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Daily coaching and supporting a team of 4 people.
- As you will be “part of the team”, you will also take ownership of certain daily tasks and routines which the team performs, especially whenever there is a necessity or when circumstances require this (e.g. backup function) to assure the continuity of the service which your team provides and to assess potential process opportunities.
- Mapping of the existing flows and processes and process improvement and keeping track of these changes.
- Organizing the team’s workload in the most optimal way, taking into consideration the Group’s deadlines (cf. closing/reporting, Netting calendar) and customer needs.
- Streamlining the L/C process and documentary collection process to meet the required deadlines/targets.
- Making sure that your team mitigates the commercial and/or political risk of Atlas Copco Airpower sales by using the most appropriate and cost-efficient trade finance instrument.
- Adapting current processes in line with changes in local country legislation (e.g. import rules).
- Ensure timely reporting of figures and scorecards.
- Analyzing the figures to take appropriate (corrective) action.
- Timely escalation of potential threats and risks and raising red flags to manager.
Thanks to the various contacts, both internally (e.g. Logistics, Product Company, Business Controllers, and Divisional Controllers) and externally (e.g. Customer Centers), you will be able to set up a network and learn about how the order parties in the value chain function.
