Your Role

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Review thoroughly Customer (EPC LSTK Companies, Licensors, End-Users, Agents & Associates) inquires (MR, RFQs, Tenders, ITBs) for timely submission for the quotations
  • Review the questions received from Customers and/or sales representatives / agents related to quotation activities
  • Precisely selecting correct API 610 pump type and accurately sizing the pump by understanding the range & product details of CPC’s entire pump model folio and by grasping data sheets parameters with respect to all relevant specifications
  • Prepare and issue RFQs for all the pump auxiliaries required such as but not limited to Strainers, Motors, VFDs, API 682 Mechanical Seals, Bearings, Couplings to prepare pricing for selected equipment and to source buy-out items
  • Prepare complete techno-commercial proposal (filled-in API 610 MDS, Supplier’s technical information, comments/deviations to MR and all relevant supporting documents like product literature, tentative GADs, P&IDs etc.)
  • Generate cost sheets by capturing project specific requirements and arrive strategic product pricing by discussing with Manager(s)
  • Review Commercial Terms and Conditions by coordinating within inter-company departments
  • Submission of bids within the timeline by conducting above tasks
  • Study and understand TQs & CQs and prepare justified replies leading to order finalization
  • Review purchase orders received from customers pursuant to quotations made, to confirm accuracy, both technically and commercially
  • Assist workload and opportunity tracking through CRM, support time to time for other tools like ERP, adhere to quality management system (ISO) etc.

 
To succeed, you will need  

Knowledge & Interpersonal Skills

  • All the basic knowledge of pump theory, types & classification, working principle, manufacturing of pump components & auxiliaries
  • Awareness of Oil & Gas Clientele and the Customer clusters
  • Interpretation of Govt. of India’s PSU tendering policies for Oil & Gas Segments
  • Multitasking ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Understands business requirements and flexible to align self, suitably for achieving business goal
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment by prioritizing the tasks where volumes are heavy
  • Able to proceed occasional short-period business tours on short notices

Educational requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering is preferred
  • Fluent in English and Hindi language communication skills, both written and verbal, Marathi language will be an added advantage
  • Command on Windows OS, Internet Search Engines, MS Office, Teams is Must
  • Familiarity with customized calculation & product selection tools will be added advantage

Experience requirements-

  • About Eight (8)+ years of experience of custom-made product’s application engineering qualifying to above listed roles & responsibilities
  • Hands-on knowledge of oil & gas industry standard such as API 610, API 682, API 614, ASME, ASTM, NACE and other related technical specifications is preferred
  • Awareness of workflow, department functions of an original equipment manufacturer (OEM)
