Safety and Sustainability Manager

As a Safety and Sustainability Manager within the Specialty Rental Division of Atlas Copco Group, you will play a key role in driving positive change and contributing to a safe, sustainable future. This position requires a dynamic leader who is passionate about sustainability, safety, and efficiency, and who will lead efforts to meet Science-Based and circularity targets, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Strategy: Lead and implement the safety and sustainability roadmap to achieve Atlas Copco’s and Specialty Rental’s goals.
• Carbon Neutrality: Launch, manage and coordinate initiatives to reach Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions targets.
• Safety: Oversee initiatives to improve safety performance, targeting zero accidents.
• Global Coordination & Culture: Interact with regional stakeholders and leaders to share best practices, lessons learned and ensure the ownership and alignment of regional efforts with global goals.
• Training & Development: Develop and deliver training programs, tools, and techniques to help others achieve safety and environmental objectives.
• Sustainability Reporting: Monitor and report on sustainability targets, including GHG emissions, circularity performance and taxonomy, helping rental depots achieve carbon-neutral goals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Marketing, Sales, and Digital Transformation teams to offer sustainable rental solutions to clients.
• Continuous Improvement: Maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications, ensuring compliance and setting a rhythm of continuous improvement.

Knowledge / experience requirements

• Master's degree (preferably technical-oriented / STEM) or equivalent through experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Customer-centric mindset, with the ability to drive change and engage decentralized teams
• Proficiency in Office 365, Power BI, and analytics tools
• Expertise in sustainability, safety, and environmental management systems (ISO standards) is a plus
• Experience in managing global projects and driving continuous improvement
