■Mission;
To contribute to the growth and profitability of Edwards through the value-selling process of Edwards products and launches of New Product Introduction, in accordance with the global product management and customer account strategies.
■Principle Accountabilities:
Accountable for delivering technical solutions to customers and supporting Edwards semiconductor business growth in Japan.
■Main Duties Are:
1. Continual improvement programs (CIPs) and customer corrective action requests (CARs): Manage portfolio of programs, escalations and use persuasive arguments to gain customer acceptance of solutions.
2. Engage with customer on next generation technologies and roadmaps, providing feedback and influence to product developments to support customers' future needs. 3. Develop applications plan and team to introduce new technology, including beta site placements, and manage product qualification through to customers' high-volume manufacturing.
4. Collaborate with internal partners and colleagues to support cross-functional activities.
5. Ensure that all areas under direct control are conducted and work in a safe, effective, and environmentally responsible manner in compliance with the Company's Health, Safety and Environment policy and ensure that the requirements local Health and Safety legislation are met.
6. Specialized by product link to Division Product Management.
RPM and DPM to liaise on roadmap alignment.
Identification and action against product gaps to customer / market needs
Coordination with applications team via DPM on new product Master Specification
7. Maintenance of regional product portfolio.
New product introduction plans – identification of opportunities and objectives
New application penetration plans
Obsolescence plans
8. Regional authority for product selection.
Together with applications team, providing risk-managed solutions to account teams
9. Market intelligence, competitive analysis.
Product capability and gaps against Edwards’ products
Marketing position and relative position to Edwards
10. Works with regional team to participate on Edwards Value Selling Programmes (EVSPs).
EVSP owned by account manager, facilitated by BLM
11. Train and communicate with regional application engineers and account teams.
New product technical and commercial introduction
Interface between Region and Division product management for NPI projects and roadmap
12. Work with Apps engineers on AIBs, BKMs.
Responsible for generating material
Ensuring proactive feedback on performance
Understanding and appropriate adherence to AIB / BKM solutions
13. Regional marketing and technical materials.
Work with internal stakeholders (e.g. DPM, Marcoms, engineering) to develop appropriate collateral as needed to support sales plans
14. Regional pricing alignment.
Responsible for adherence with pricing policies and strategies
■Skills;
- BS degree level or higher in Science or Engineering, MS / PhD preferred
- More than 3 years as Applications Engineer or equivalent
- Verbal and written communcations skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office..)
- Problem solving and analysis
- Presentation skills
- Good time management skills
- Japanese and English communication skill(Business level)
- High motivation to win business and high sensitivity to customer needs
