Key Responsibilities

Set and operate cold forging equipment to company work procedures and instructions.
Conduct regular maintenance (TPM checks) and support breakdown maintenance as required.
Regularly monitor production to ensure it meets the required quality standards.
Work closely with the team leader and lead operator to ensure production meets agreed deadlines.
Liaise closely with colleagues on status of machines, maintenance and quality or on any other related issues to ensure the continuity of production.
Maintain daily production, maintenance and quality records.
Use a forklift truck or ped op for the transfer of raw materials from stores to production area.
Promote a safe work area carrying out regular housekeeping duties
as necessary.

Other Duties

Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Company
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment and the ability to follow work instructions/specifications is essential.
Experience of working within a mechanical environment would be beneficial.
Previous experience of visual inspection for cosmetic defects would be a considerable advantage.
Experience in SPC would be an advantage.
A qualification in an engineering capacity would also be an advantage. (NVQ, HNC, HND)
Forklift truck licence would be desirable but is not essential.

Possess good problem-solving abilities
Have experience working in a fast-moving environment and be able to demonstrate good time management and organisational skills
Be reliable with a proven attendance record
