National Operations Manager - South
Today, Compressor Technique Service (CTS) division is a well-established business, providing around the clock, state of the art service and solutions to our customers. To build on past successes and achieve our ambitious growth targets we are seeking to recruit a strong and experienced leader. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Compressor Technique Service management team and will be a driving force for the company’s overall performance and image. The National Operations Manager (South) will report directly to the CTS Operations Business Line Manager. This is a key role by accelerating profitable growth through greater operational efficiency and increased customer care. It is a great opportunity for the right person to make a difference to the result of the division.
The position will be field based with the requirement for regular overnight stays in UK with occasional overseas travel.
The role:
- Ensuring the safety of all employees by promoting Safety First in the CTS field service operations. Ensuring compliance of QSHE processes including injury and near miss reporting
- Working closely with the CTS Business Line Manager - Operations and CTS Sales & Marketing BLM to develop and deliver excellent service to meet and exceed customers’ expectations, thus to contribute to CTS overall business development
- Leading and developing CTS Field Operations team to deliver best in class service
- Maximizing profitability by focusing on efficiency improvements and cost control
- Maximising cash-flow by close control of WIP and Receivables
- Improving operational efficiency by using IT technology & infrastructure
- Constantly looking for best practices to optimize the operational process
- Developing the competence of Service Engineers /Service Managers including technical communication skills, to improve problem-solving capability for enhanced customer satisfaction
- Assisting CTS Sales & Marketing with lead generation from operations field service employees
- Guiding and supervising CTS Operations process improvements. Monitoring performance by using platforms and tools like VisionairOps and Operational reporting dashboards
- Being responsible for field fleet management and tooling requirements
- Ensuring solid relationships with customers, stakeholders, and distributors. Continuously improve customer satisfaction and take required NPS follow up actions
- Dealing with significant customer service complaints, to stabilize, maintain and improve customer relationships
- Overseeing regional service hub operations including local inventory management
- Being responsible for capacity planning and recruitment including Apprenticeship programme
- Leading and coaching CTS Field Operations team, ensuring optimum performance, acting as first point of escalation of business resolution issues
- Being familiar with Atas Copco’s “The Way We Do Things” and “Business Code of Practice” and apply in daily operations
To succeed, you will need:
- Has proven experience in the Compressor industry with exposure to management in the service business with strong change management skills
- Has good financial understanding and knowledge, particularly for the service organisation (service contract profit build and service variance etc)
- Able to deliver presentations well and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is self-motivated and excellent ability to plan and organise
- Has the ability to build strong and effective working relations with customers and colleagues
