JOB TITLE: Sales Engineer
JOB OBJECTIVE
Responsible for all sales activities, from prospecting to closing, in an assigned region and defined set of accounts. Develop and implement an agreed plan which will meet the business goals of increasing sales to the customer base and improving customer satisfaction.

Segment Leader(s) or Key Account Manager(s)
Distributors
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifies the business line position within the region – Market Share, Sales, Strengths-Weaknesses- Opportunities-Threats (SWOT), and Competition;
- Utilizes the Atlas Copco Customer Prospecting System to identify new customers in the region;
- Proposes, develops, and executes a plan for the region based on an agreed target from the Area Sales Manager, information from the Segment Application Guide, and feedback from all applicable Segment Leaders or Key Account Managers, and distributors. The plan include targets and activities such as ;

- Net invoiced sales
- Orders received
- Major projects or programs
- Market share
- Number of buying customers
- Net Promoter Score
- Distribution Development
- Provides a monthly report for the region to the Area Sales Manager, Segment Leader(s) or Key Account Manager(s), and Product Manager(s);
- Identifies future product and customer needs and communicates the information to the appropriate Product Manager(s).
Competence profile
Technical Capability
- Effective capability with a laptop computer, all Atlas Copco programs Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge/experience of assembly technology is a plus;
- Is capable of performing professional presentations and demonstrations for all product types targeted for the region;
- Is capable of troubleshooting all product types targeted for the region;
- Understands and adheres to all customer specific product/fastening requirements supplied by the Product Manager(s) and Segment Leader or Key Account Manager in the Segment Application Guide.

- Provides support and advice to distributors in order to help them recognize ways in which they can improve the effectiveness of their business;
