Key Accounts Sales Engineer
The role is to generate and facilitate service sales with all Original Equipment Manufacturers and Key Account Customers. The role will span across functions in Compressor Techniques Services, Service Sales and Parts team and will serve both areas.
The role:
Act as first point of contact for all equipment manufacturers and key account customers
Partake in weekly/monthly meetings with customers, to ensure that divisional service levels are being achieved and use the opportunity to make service recommendations to same and up-sell service/parts solutions
Oversee Atlas Copco OEM/Key Account Set-up on the portal, negotiating service rates and Legal terms and Conditions
Ensure that all long-term agreements with customers are profitable and annual meetings for renewals are attended to and Indexations are applied to all renewals of agreements
Be the internal driver within CTS to align service offerings and improvements to enhance business with OEM and KA customers
Be the internal driver within the organisations of OEM/KA customers to find across site synergies and improvements to develop business for all areas of CTS
Compile and build all sales tenders with focus on commercial and legal requirements with our customer base. Liaise with Service and Parts to include all the relevant pricing and details
Assist Sales Managers and Sales Engineers with all customer pricing and service issues that relate to same customer base
Attend site meetings when required
Liaise periodically with Airpower to secure global agreements based in the UK. Ensure labour, parts and pricing is at the standard and all details uploaded and maintained on the KAM Portal.
To succeed, you will need:
- Proven sales experience
- A technical background or qualification – although this is not essential. If you have a good sales background, positive attitude, and aptitude to learn, we can teach you the rest!
- Key Account experience is preferred however not imperative
- Experience or knowledge of the compressed air industry ideally
- A full UK driving licence - this is a field-based role, and you will be travelling regularly across the country
- Ability to travel daily across the United Kingdom. Including ad hoc travel to other office locations across the UK as and when required
- Excellent IT skills, and desire to learn new systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
