The Jr Operational Buyer contributes to the overall performance of the Distribution Center by ensuring and procuring a continuous supply of material, supplies, and services, in line with company inventory availability and OTD goals
Main Responsibilities
• Raise and process purchase orders in line with company procedures.
• Liaise with internal teams to understand material or service requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, price lists, and supplier information
• Builds strong relationships with suppliers to leverage their collective knowledge and abilities to further Edwards
and Atlas Copco business objectives.
• Utilizes reports to ensure adequate inventory of purchased material is maintained to meet production
requirements, monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Creates and maintains requisitions, purchase orders, acknowledgements and resolves invoice discrepancies.
Identifies changes in customer demand and adjusts accordingly.
• Utilizes MRP/SAP system to perform material requirements planning through interactions between production and
planning personnel to ensue material availability.
• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance and works collaboratively in a team environment with a
spirit of cooperation.
• Respectfully takes direction from the supervisor/ manager.

Education level
o Associate’s degree in business or equivalent discipline preferred. High School Diploma/GED required.
Relevant Previous
o Working in a supply chain, logistics, or inventory-related role.
o Experience in an aftermarket environment with emphasis on customer service
o Handling data entry, documentation, and filing
o Understanding stock levels, restocking needs, or inventory discrepancies
Knowledge areas/Skills
o Understanding of purchase orders, lead times, delivery terms, and invoice matching.
o Awareness of demand planning or reorder levels.
o Basic awareness of ethical sourcing, sustainability, and supplier compliance
Other requirements
o Demonstrated ability to drive positive outcomes with creative solutions to sourcing and supplier development.
o Working Experience with Microsoft Office – PowerPoint and Excel.
o Working knowledge of MRP. SAP experience is preferred.
o Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
o Self-starter and effective time manager. Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
