JOB TITLE: Engineer_Sourcing

LOCATION: Busan, South Korea

[MISSION]
To source necessary components according to their specification, given cost target and delivery date from domestic and overseas vendors. For this you will need to develop local suppliers fulfil our requirements, and to collaborate with the project team as well as production. Also, inbound logistics is to be handled within your responsibility.

[KEY RESPONSIBILITY]

• Comply with the entire operational procurement process in KRN, including the data maintenance in SAP for ensuring the supply of material in line with requirements for the procurement items that have been taken over
• Comply with the way we do things and Business Code of Practice.
• To achieve KPI of KRN Sourcing department as cost saving and OTD.
• Identification and selection of suitable local suppliers, their evaluation (audit) also together with the local project engineers and quality engineers. Assess supplier qualifications in coordination with divisional Supplier Development Lead
• Development of processes together with the selected suppliers and for new commodities.
• Monitor supplier performance (quality and delivery) and take corrective actions as required.
• Issuing Request for Quotations, their evaluation and later selection of suitable quotation with relevant teams.
• Sourcing of components for compressor packages from the local and foreign market.
• Negotiation of prices and contractual terms, issuing related purchase orders.
• Expediting of due time delivery.
• Inbound logistics, communication with related external freight forwarders.
• Support of the other departments/functions (engineering, production, quality) regarding supplier related issues.

[REQUIREMENTS]

• University degree majored in industrial engineering or equivalent with commercial background.
• Travel <25% domestic, <10% international
• More than 5 years’ experience in the field of sourcing and/or supplier quality assurance
• Experience with commodities like heat exchangers, piping and related components, controls and instrument components.
• Especially purchasing experience with rotating machinery preferred.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Good English in both spoken and written, fluency in Korean language
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 and ERP system.
• SAP experience preferred
• Experience in working within an international company is preferred but not mandatory.
• Self-driven and proactive.
