Purpose

The successful candidate will play a key role in the control and guidance of our company's financial result, including forecasting and analysis and providing support to the General Manager and his team. The Business Controller will be a part of the management team and will also participate in Company Review Meetings.

Role

• Ensure that financial reporting and accounting matters are in accordance with Atlas Copco's "The Way We do things" and Philippines statutory accounting practice.
• Pro-active review and analysis of business trends.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of reporting and forecasting processes and procedures.
• Actively participate in business activities and thereby actively contribute to developing the business in accordance with the strategy and targets.
• Prepare and support company planning processes in line with divisional strategies.
• Communicate with other management team members on relevant issues, building cooperative relationships and provide additional support as required to resolve issues and deliver process improvement in a spirit of teamwork.
• Proactively alert management to any potential risks to compliance with sound business principles, and ensure that action plans are effectively implemented.
• Take care of the legal aspects of the business.
• Provide good tools and analysis to the management to support our targets.
• Assist the management team members in operational reviews and local audits.
• Work closely with KL finance Hub to secure accurate reporting and accounting.
• Responsibilities include assets management, inventories and receivables.
• Always consider the interests of the Group and nurture a good relationship with other Business Areas.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Essential:
  • University Degree, preferably in finance, accounting, business administration or similar through experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of senior finance/ equivalent  managerial position.
  • Strong understanding of Philippine local legislations.
  • Fluency in English language, both in writing and speaking
  • Willing to travel within the SEA region when necessary.

• Skills
  • Proficient in ERP systems; good SAP knowledge is big advantageous. 
  • Commercial/business acumen.
  • Analytical skills with professional experience in finance and business administration.
  • Strong focus on quality, accuracy, deadlines and orderly work.
  • Ability to coach others in business control and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • Self-motivated, energetic with a high level of responsibility and loyalty.
