Your Role:

You will cover the area of finance, accounting, tax, legal things as well as whole company management.

Through accurate, relevant and timely business and financial analysis, support general management in making effective business decisions.

To secure that adequate internal control processes are in place and that Group processes are implemented.

To participate in business activities and actively contribute to developing the business in accordance with the strategy and targets.

In this role, you will report to the General Manager of Customer Center Japan with a dotted line to the VP Business Control CPD Division in Nantes.

Mission:

Your mission will be to deliver sustainable and profitable growth in Japan and ensure we become and remain "First in Mind, First in Choice" at our key customers.

The business development by providing financial analysis, forecast and red flags to General Manager and Business Line Managers is a key part of the mission.

In this challenging position, your responsibilities amongst others will include:

• Reporting in accordance with “The Way To Do Things” in GPS, SAP and BPCS
• Make transparent and reasonably accurate financial statement in accordance with local legal requirement (accounting, tax and other) and establish and maintain internal control to secure that
• Provide financial information which is helpful for decision making to stake holder in a proper way and timing
  • Follow-up the monthly scorecards/KPI with analysis (vs target, last year) and to propose corrective actions and improvements
  • Catch the needs of stake holder like GM, OM, BLM, Manager, Division etc.
  • Action to answer the needs, not “we can’t do”, but “how we can do”
• Proactive suggestion for Kaizen from finance point of view and raise red flag to stake holder as necessary, take a lead of change with involving stake holder
• Maintain the best treasury way and capital structure working with group treasury hub, ACKK and external financial institution

• Run the finance organization in the most effective and efficient way, maximum output with minimum input, and maintain sustainable organization

Knowledge and Experience requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance
• 2+ years of responsibility for financial profit and loss performance and risk management
• Participation in Audits is a plus
• High level accounting, business control, financial planning and analysis skills with rich experience in this area
• Good knowledge and experience of IFRS and JGAAP as well as Atlas Copco Group policy to make financial statement in accordance with these accounting principles
• Preferred certification CPA, Nissho bookkeeping 2nd grade or upper
• Good knowledge and experience of local tax practice to be compliant with tax regulation
• Hands on PC skills to carry out the above in the most efficient and effective way (Excel formula, Graph, Pivot table, Macro etc.)
• Skills to catch financial issues and suggest improvement and raise red flag to stake holder, and take a lead of change with involving stake holder
• Presentation skill to provide the key finance point to relevant stake holder such as division management, GM, OM, BLM etc.
• Fundamental Knowledge of SAP, BPCS and other systems such as relation of each system/module, master data maintenance etc.
• Fluent in Japanese, business level English is a must
• International culture competence, preferably Japanese and western culture experience

Educational requirements:

University degree in Accounting or similar experience/academic background, MPA or MBA is a plus
