CTS division is responsible for all aftermarket business including support and service to our customers. To further strengthen engineering team in CTS wuxi hub, we are looking for an experienced electrical product engineer focus on motors and drives. This position will develop upgrade kits to integrate the latest technology of frequency drives and the build-in of more efficient motors for compressors already in the market. You will be also responsible to define the aftermarket strategy for design integrations of motors and drives in new equipment development projects.
You will report to the engineering team leader and work very closely with corresponded CTS teams in Wuxi (China) and Airpower (Belgium).
Your job will consist of:
- Focus on the availability of motors & drives in aftermarket, reduce ad-hoc tickets via proactive approach like projects or batch clean up
- lead motor upgrade projects for our aftermarket to supply high energy efficiency motors then maximize customer value.
- lead converter upgrade projects to introduce the Atlas Copco in-house converter
- align with airpower team to setup the aftermarket strategy related to preferred motor and drive types and design restrictions to be considered by equipment project teams
- make field qualification plan for motors and drives
- Reduce and standardize motor & drive variants in aftermarket system
- Actively involve the development of upgrade tool from CTS wuxi side
Competence and qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, At least 3-5 years working experiences in electrical design
- Technical background is needed, have a good understanding of PM motors, Induction motors and other electrical components
- Practical experience in OEM converter tuning, experiences in Neos will be plus
- Good command of English both oral and written
- Team player, but able to work individually.
