Coming Together for Pink Shirt Day 2026

On 15 May 2026, teams across Atlas Copco Group New Zealand came together to support Pink Shirt Day, a nationwide movement that encourages kindness, inclusion, and respect in our workplaces and communities.

Pink Shirt Day is about more than just wearing pink. It’s a reminder that small actions, supportive words, and everyday kindness can make a real difference to the people around us. Originally started by students in Canada standing up against bullying, the movement has grown into an important message of support, acceptance, and respect for everyone.

Throughout the day, our teams proudly wore pink to show solidarity and help raise awareness about the importance of creating safe and inclusive environments where everyone feels valued and supported.

A Day Filled with Kindness and Connection

To help spread positivity across the workplace, compliment post-it notes were shared for colleagues to write encouraging messages and display them on the shout-out board. It was great to see so many thoughtful messages, words of appreciation, and moments of encouragement shared between teams.

The day also included:

  • A short message from our General Manager
  • Morning tea with the team
  • Fun mini games during the break
  • A Pink Shirt Day edition of the Friday Fun Facts Quiz, with surprise prizes to be won

More than just activities, the day gave everyone an opportunity to connect, have fun together, and reflect on the importance of treating one another with kindness and respect.

Building a Positive Workplace Together

As part of the initiative, employees were also encouraged to read the Workplace Bullying Prevention Guide, helping reinforce positive behaviours and respectful workplace practices beyond Pink Shirt Day itself.

Thank you to everyone who took part, wore pink, shared kind messages, and contributed to making the day such a positive experience. Every small action helps create a workplace where people feel safe, included, respected, and supported every day.
