A Day of Culture, Connection, and Community
On Friday, 12 June 2026, employees across Atlas Copco Group New Zealand came together to celebrate the rich diversity that makes our workplace unique during our annual Culture Fest 2026.
The event brought colleagues from across the country together to share cultures, traditions, food, and personal stories, strengthening connections across teams and reinforcing a shared sense of belonging. Throughout the day, employees embraced inclusion, curiosity, and appreciation, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
Celebrating Culture Through Dress
One of the most memorable highlights of Culture Fest 2026 was the way employees expressed culture through clothing.
Participants wore a mix of traditional attire, cultural accessories, symbolic colours, and heritage-inspired patterns. Some chose full traditional outfits, while others incorporated subtle cultural elements that reflected their identity or cultures they wanted to honour.
This colourful display sparked meaningful conversations across teams, encouraging employees to learn more about one another’s backgrounds and cultural traditions in an authentic and respectful way.
Sharing Flavours from Around the World
The “Taste of Us” Potluck Lunch brought people together through food and storytelling.
Teams collaborated around assigned cultural themes and contributed a wide variety of dishes inspired by global cuisines. The table featured homemade family recipes, traditional favourites, and shared treats that represented personal and cultural histories.
Beyond the food itself, the potluck created space for employees to connect through stories—sharing the meaning behind dishes, family traditions, and cultural memories tied to food.
Activities That Brought People Together
Culture Fest 2026 also featured interactive activities designed to encourage engagement, learning, and connection across teams.
The Culture Fest Raffle encouraged reflection on how respect and inclusion can be strengthened in the workplace. Alongside this, games and group activities helped colleagues connect in informal ways, sparking conversations and shared experiences across departments.
These activities added energy to the day while reinforcing the importance of cultural awareness and collaboration.
