The Customer Centre New Zealand hosted its annual Safety Day 2026 on 28 April, bringing employees together in celebration of shared purpose, connection, and care for people, alongside the Atlas Copco Group’s 153 Years Anniversary.
The initiative reflects the Group’s ongoing commitment to a strong safety-first culture, where wellbeing is seen as a foundation for sustainable performance. It also reinforces a broader focus on fostering a workplace culture that supports health, balance, and holistic wellbeing—both at work and beyond.
Rather than a traditional event, Safety Day 2026 was designed as a shared experience that encouraged reflection, learning, and engagement across teams. Employees joined an online session with a guest nutritionist, exploring how everyday nutrition choices can support energy, focus, and overall wellbeing, followed by an open Q&A that encouraged curiosity and personal connection to the topic.
A series of interactive activities further strengthened engagement, including a health and wellbeing quiz that explored common myths and behaviours around nutrition and lifestyle. These moments created opportunities for teams to reflect on habits in a light, inclusive, and collaborative way.
The day also brought people together over a healthy lunch provided by Tank, reinforcing the importance of connection and shared time as part of workplace wellbeing.
In addition, the Step Up Challenge winners were announced, recognising individuals who demonstrated consistent commitment to improving their health and wellbeing—highlighting the role of personal ownership within a broader culture of care.
As part of the wider celebration, the 153 Years Anniversary was marked with commemorative gifts presented to all employees, recognising their contribution to the organisation’s long-standing heritage, shared achievements, and continued success.
To extend the impact beyond the day, Safety Day gift packs were also shared with employees, including healthy snacks and resistance bands, encouraging continued focus on wellbeing, movement, and positive lifestyle habits.
Safety Day 2026 reflects Atlas Copco Group’s broader culture—one that values safety not only as a priority, but as a shared mindset, embedded in how people work, support each other, and grow together.
