This Water for All project delivered much-needed water infrastructure to help local communities access safe, reliable drinking water. The work included georesistivity surveys to locate groundwater, drilling boreholes, testing pumps, and installing water pumps and generators. Elevated water tanks and community tap stands were built, along with secure housing to protect the equipment, helping ensure a dependable water supply for everyday use.
Beyond the physical infrastructure, the project has made a real difference to community health and wellbeing. Better access to clean water has reduced the risk of waterborne illness and improved hygiene practices. It has also eased the daily workload for women and children, who previously had to walk long distances to collect water. With safer water available closer to home, families can prepare food more safely, maintain better sanitation, and enjoy improved overall wellbeing. Community leaders and local groups were actively involved throughout the project, helping build local ownership and support long-term sustainability.
