
JOB TITLE: Engineer_Workshop I&C
DIVISION: GAP (Gas and Process)
REPORTING TO: Team Leader_Workshop (Test)
LOCATION: Busan, South Korea
[MISSION]
To provide best solutions, plan, execute and assure all electrical and controls related packaging and testing activities safely, “in quality” and “in time”.
[KEY RESPONSIBILITY]
- Understand the requirements regarding controls and electrification of the compressor packaging and testing
- Select the suitable instruments and other components for the test run and set up and maintain test bed
- Support our suppliers and our own workshop regarding instrumentation, electrification, and controls
- Install the main equipment for LD and HD compressors together with workshop team such as base frame, core unit, motor, heat exchanger, punch clearing, etc.
- Conduct electrical testing of instruments, junction boxes and related loop checks.
- Execute and handle MV, LV panels and test cables (12.8 kV, 6.6 kV, 440 V, 380 V).
- Connect the main driver to the LV/MV system, carry out the motor solo run, VFD identification, internal test, and the official FAT
- Support test preparation, utilities connection (power/control cable connection, cooling water, instrument air, N2 supply, lube oil filling)
- Check the installation quality according to P&ID, check list, GA/E&I drawings during packaging (Cabling, instrumentation, tubing, piping).
- Configure and set up the test automation system & ADRE vibration monitoring system
- Operate the control system during test runs
- Cooperate with the workshop mechanic, warehouse specialist and 3rd party vendors.
- Support our local service team during installation and commissioning at customer site
- Other tasks when needed like parts/materials handling
[REQUIREMENTS]
- 10+ year of working experience
- Electrical or controls engineering degree or equivalent
- Certificate of “Engineer electricity” or “Industrial engineer electricity”
- More than 2 years of electrical work experience after obtaining an Engineer electricity license/more than 4 years of electrical work experience after obtaining an Industrial engineer electricity license
- Experience in the fields of machine operation, packaging or heavy industry as an electrician and/or controls engineer is surplus
- Must have H/LV, and M/V panels management and loop-checks experience
- Operation knowledge of ship’s automation system (S&SYS or Kongsberg).
- Be familiar with factory acceptance tests and shipyard’s commissioning activity (surplus).
- Good communication skills and teamwork required.
- Be available to sometimes work at late shift.
- Experience in regards of marine classifications (KRS, LRS, DNV, BV, ABS) is a surplus.
- Fluency in Korean language, good command in English
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 and ERP system.
- Willing to travel, average <10% of the working time
