Albert Gannaban’s journey is defined not only by technical expertise but also by his unwavering commitment to safety. His dedication has been recognized with Safety Awards for two consecutive years—2024 and 2025, a testament to how deeply he lives by the principle that safety is more than compliance; it’s a way of thinking.
From Cadetship to Field Excellence
Albert’s professional journey began in 2016, when he entered the industry as a cadet, closely involved in hands-on troubleshooting and repair work. This early practical experience laid a strong foundation for a career that would take him across several sectors, including manufacturing, mining, automation, food and beverage, and electronics.
Although his academic background was originally aligned with aviation, Albert saw an opportunity at Atlas Copco to establish his career in the industrial sector. “What began as a learning step soon evolved into a long-term career path,” Albert recalls. His position as Field Service Engineer allowed him to apply his technical skills while continuously learning about advanced equipment systems.
“I didn’t expect to stay this long,” he shares, “but the technical challenges, continuous learning, and client-facing responsibilities made the role incredibly fulfilling.”
As he transitioned into his role as a Field Service Engineer, Albert’s responsibilities expanded beyond repairs. Today, he supports customers directly on-site, ensuring optimal equipment performance, leading preventive maintenance, and strictly implementing safety standards—all while staying up to date with Atlas Copco’s latest innovations. This dedication to exceptional service was proudly recognized when he received a Safety Excellence award at the 2026 Atlas Copco PH Kick‑Off Event—a testament to his hard work and impact.
Safety: From a Checklist to a Way of Thinking
Years of working in diverse and demanding field environments reshaped Albert’s understanding of safety. For him, safety is embedded in every task—from tightening a bolt to conducting an inspection or speaking with a customer. It’s about shared responsibility, not just for himself, but for colleagues, customers, and even the communities surrounding the equipment.
