STEM is for everyone, so.... Ninja mode on!

During the event, children of Atlas Copco  Group employees dove into the fascinating world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) and came out as true Techno Ninjas.

Techno Ninjas has been organized almost annually since 2016 by Pleiades, Atlas Copco Group's international employee network, to show that science and technology are not only cool, but also for everyone, boys and girls. This year again, many children were stimulated to turn their curiosity into action, and the results.... they don't lie!

Techno Ninja Land breaks records

This year’s event was extra big with a true Techno Ninja Land that welcomed lots of kids. As many as 180 kids were eager to find their inner Ninja, more than double compared to previous editions. How Techno Ninja Land kicked off? With a spectacular STEM show by Technopolis that immediately highlighted the wow factor of STEM. Then workshops were held, where the kids could experiment with 3D printing, programming and filter technology. All techniques that their parents use at work at Atlas Copco Group. Doing and discovering yourself - that's what it's all about, and it resulted in more than just a few surprised faces! The kids learned how fun and versatile a future in technology can be.

"We are enormously pleased with the children's turnout and enthusiasm. By introducing them to STEM in a playful way, we make them understand that STEM is also fun and cool, and inspire them to go in this direction later on. It is great to see how children were absorbed in the technological challenges they were presented with - who knows, maybe they will be the technicians and engineers of the future."

More gender diversity in the workplace

Atlas Copco Group is also seeing interest from girls in the Techno Ninjas. To get more gender diversity in the workplace, it is important that boys and girls are introduced to STEM very early on. A lot of girls participated once again this edition, and we can only encourage that.

"We want to use Techno Ninja Land to show that technology is not just for boys, and that girls can also excel in science and technology. We need to make it clear that STEM can be for everyone and introduce children to STEM from early on. In the future, we want to continue to inspire and introduce children to the endless possibilities of science and technology."

After this successful eighth edition, Atlas Copco Group is already looking ahead to Techno Ninja Land 2025. One thing is certain: the Techno Ninjas of the future are eager to discover even more!
