Our future is shaped by the talents of tomorrow

What makes some companies more attractive and what defines a good leader? In this video, young graduates from Atlas Copco Group share their views.

Student work is for us more than a temporary experience: it is an opportunity to make a real impact. You will be part of an international work environment full of inspiring colleagues, smart technology and room for initiative. Whether you would like to work on a challenging project, gain practical experience during the summer or want to develop your skills during the academic year — at Atlas Copco Group you will be given the trust and opportunities to grow.

Internships & thesis projects

At Atlas Copco Group, you will work on concrete projects within a team that guides and supports you. We match your field of study and interests with what is happening within our organization. You will find yourself in an international working environment where collaboration is central. During your internship or thesis project, you will be given the space to develop yourself and put your theoretical knowledge into practice.

We offer opportunities in various work areas such as engineering, IT, software engineering & data, supply chain, logistics, marketing, production, service and more.

"There’s a quiet kind of power in learning how to turn scattered numbers into something meaningful. At Atlas Copco Group, I started to see pricing not just as calculation, but as a way of thinking — structured, curious, and always growing. Coming from a classroom background, it felt rewarding to apply what I’ve learned to real business challenges.”

Young Talent

Do you want to work in a study-relevant side job during the academic year? Then the Young Talent program is something for you. As a Young Talent, you will work part-time in a team at Atlas Copco Group and you will have the opportunity to build up your first work experience, alongside your studies.

We are looking for motivated students (from 3rd bachelor or master) who are available at least 2 days a week. You will end up in an environment where learning is central, and where you will see up close how your education translates into practice.

"I wanted to learn how the theory I acquired at university is applied in the business world. Not through perfectly prepared practical exercises, but in a realistic context with uncertainties and unexpected challenges. This provides valuable learning moments and exciting opportunities for personal development. A large company like Atlas Copco Group is ideal for this. Its size brings together people from various sectors, creating a dynamic and enriching environment. The pleasant work atmosphere on the work floor and in the offices makes it an excellent learning environment for a first work experience. Moreover, it offers promising future prospects."

"The Young Talent Program gave me the opportunity to further develop my technical skills in a professional environment while still studying. By conducting independent research within a real industrial context, I was able to deepen my knowledge and truly make a difference. It was motivating to see how my findings added value to the organization and inspired further research."

Vacation work

Every year, as soon as summer vacation starts, it is time again to welcome our job students. Sons and daughters of our employees become our new employees for a period of time, but often we are looking for other enthusiastic job students for various locations.

For vacation work, however, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • From the age of 17, you are eligible for vacation work. Only in production or safety-related jobs you must be 18 at the time of employment.
  • For vacation work, we cannot guarantee that the employment will be study-related. Jobs range from warehouse work, to production, to administrative assistant, and so on.
  • During summer vacation, we expect a commitment of at least two weeks or one month depending on the location. You can indicate a preferred period in your application, and we will look for a vacancy that matches your preference as closely as possible.
  • We start summer planning in April and try to contact all students by June.

From student to employee

At Atlas Copco Group, we offer the chance to get your career off to a flying start. A great example is our talented colleague Bowout. He completed his thesis with us, then followed a Young Talent track. Today he is an employee working in our engineering team, for several years. His story is an inspiring example of the opportunities we offer.

"During my thesis research, I had the opportunity to get to know Atlas Copco Group up close. What started as an academic project quickly evolved into an exciting career start. Thanks to the open culture, the room for initiative, and the warm colleagues, I felt at home right away. Today, I work as an engineer in a team where collaboration and innovation are central. What do I appreciate most? The freedom to be myself – social, curious, and enthusiastic – while learning something new every day in a high-tech environment. For me, Atlas Copco Group is not just an employer, but a place where young talent truly gets opportunities."
