From SDG Pioneer to SDG Champion

The Voka Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship (VCDO) supports companies in implementing concrete actions that contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Power Tools Distribution is already a proud SDG Pioneer. But the company doesn’t stop there — it is now progressing toward becoming an SDG Champion. This is an ambitious two-year trajectory, of which the first year has now been successfully completed. As recognition, the company received the first certificate within the Champion program.

Over the past year, several concrete actions were taken to further embed sustainability into the organization. These included expanding the number of solar panels, further digitizing stock counts and business processes, introducing digital instruction cards for warehouse staff, integrating sustainability criteria into the purchasing policy, and participating in a Climate Hackathon.

In the second year of the trajectory, the focus shifts to new initiatives. Power Tools Distribution aims to raise awareness among suppliers about the use of sustainable packaging and is working on a project to review and optimize its waste management policy.

This recognition marks an important step toward further sustainability and highlights Power Tools Distribution’s ambition to continue making a positive impact.
